Dubai: Check-in-free travel coming soon for hand luggage flyers
Dubai Airports is set to make travel faster and easier for passengers carrying only hand luggage. Soon, travellers will be able to skip the traditional check-in process entirely, cutting down on queues and saving valuable time.
The move is part of a wider effort to streamline airport operations using advanced technology. Terminal 3 already features an AI-powered red carpet corridor for Business Class passengers, allowing them to pass through security without showing a passport or boarding pass. This service will be expanded to more passengers soon.
Meanwhile, travellers can also enjoy the FIX Chocolate pop-up at Terminal 3 before it wraps up at the end of the year, offering a sweet treat before boarding.
Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, said the initiative respects passengers’ time while improving airport efficiency. “We’re working to create a completely frictionless experience, removing unnecessary steps so people can move quickly and securely through DXB,” he explained.
